Nevi'imNevi'im, Hebrew: נביאים (=Prophets) is the second of three sections of the Tanakh (or: Hebrew Bible).
This section is traditionally divided into two parts: In the Jewish tradition, Samuel and Kings are counted as one book each. In addition, twelve relatively short prophetic books are counted as one (Trei Asar, The Twelve). Thus, the Jewish tradition counts a total of eight books in the Nevi'im as the second section of Tanakh. Hebrew (English) עברית Nevi'im Rishonim (First Prophets) נביאים ראשונים Nevi'im Aharonim (Latter Prophets) נביאים אחרונים
